Kind of a rare thing for me, but I am not looking forward to getting off of work today. I get to go meet my ex girlfriend of 3 years for the first time since we broke up about a month ago.

On the plus side, I am getting my spare house key back. Blah.

Anyone else not stoked to be getting off of work today?

I going to go do laps in the swimming pool after work and I'm still a bit sore from riding this weekend. So yeah, I'm sort of not looking forward to it.

I'm im pretty sore from the race I did this weekend. Stoked I ended up getting 3rd, but I think I broke my finger. Also my forarm, back, shoulder, and legs are all scratched up. Showering hurts.

Yah, but swimming will loosen you right up. I've been working on breaststroke (ok, are you done giggling now?), and my groin muscles are really sore. SIGH - ok, two potential giggles in one of my posts. :)

I am not looking forward to getting off because despite the gorgeous weather I encountered while riding at lunch, some freak storm just blew in and it is NASTY outside. Uphill, against a headwind, in rain with who knows what else.

My wife has been taking swimming lessons and she's been trying to teach me what she knows. We both learned how to swim as kids but neither of us learned in a refined way.

We've both been working on our breast-strokes. Yes, I make the same joke every time we swim with my wife. My rhythm sucks. I aways breathe at the wrong time and end up swallowing tons of water. It just sucks being a noob and struggling at something.

Dude, she has made a copy already. :clue:

Change the locks. :busted:

Don't evny you(also don't know anything about your relationship with her), just take it easy when you meet her no need to get all excited/worked up.

Yeah basically I ended it because she refused to get a job (even when I got her a total chill job where she could make her own hours and days to work around her 'busy' 2 day a week school schedule). She also refused to get her license because she just didn’t want to (I even offered to teach her to drive and pay for everything). Keep in mind she is 22 years old (older than me, im 21). I was paying for all of the rent and she would get groceries and clean up the house sometimes. I didn’t see the relationship getting any better. And rather than waiting until I hated her and despised her, I ended it. Yeah, not too stoked to see her. I still care for her, but our relationship is done.

Sorry it felt good to vent.

Not to worry. I'm sure the way things turned out are for the best. Always better to take the early exit than to suffer mightily later on.

Yeah, that's pretty forward thinking for a 21 year old. I wish I had been as astute with my selection of women at that age. That might have saved me 4 or 5 years of hell.

HA! Yah, I learned freestyle as a kid but that was it. Timing sure is so damn important in breaststroke and I'm still ironing things out. Good luck to you guys...I actually find it fun learning new things, and it's nice to swim something other than freestyle.

Total Heckler: Good luck, that sounds like a tough situation.

Hey thanks everyone. Yeah its all pretty rough. It feels good to rant a bit about it. I'm going to keep things as short as I can tonight. I am bringing her to my brothers to see his new baby boy Khyri for the first time.

Wow dude, that sounds exactly like the relationship I was in. In my case, I broke up with her, she moved back to her parents, then I had to see her a few months later so she could pick up the stuff she had left behind...not fun.

Dude why the hell do you need to see her at all?!? Change your locks and tell her to make a necklace out of your spare key. This isnt hard, you dont have to do anything if you dont want. Shes a bum youve moved on, dont give her a chance to pull you back in or get her knocked up! :bonk:

glad it went well.

My friend's got a girlfriend
Man he hates that bitch
He tells me every day
He says "man I really gotta lose my chick
In the worst kind of way"

She sits on her ass
He works his hands to the bone
To give her money every payday
But she wants more dinero just to stay at home
Well my friend
You gotta say:

I won't pay, I won't pay ya, no way
now, now, Why don't you get a job
Say no way, say no way ya, no way
now, now, Why don't you get a job

Groin muscles really sore after breast stroke = Bad kick form. Try to keep knees in, heels in, toes out... I know it sounds crazy but you will be more powerful, create less drag and it will fatigue you less. Takes getting use to but that is how a good brst kick is done.

I'm off today, and all week. :D Woot.

I am night riding tonight, so I would be looking forward to getting off. I killed all of my exes, so I don't have to worry about chicks just showing up.

You know what you have to do.
