My brother was in Argentina for a few months of post-grad research and he sent me a bottle of this stuff. It's a type of liquor, 90 proof. He tells me it's all the rage in Argentina or something. The idea is to mix it with Coke (tried it in coffee once...was not a fan).

When I first tried it, I thought it was disgusting...seriously. Anyone who's tried it says tha same. Tasted like pepper and cough syrup. Now, it has grown on me and I like it. It smells, for the liquor I am used to, bizarre. Spicy is the best way to describe it.

Anyone else ever try this? Have any drink suggestions?

Fernet? We take shots of that stuff all the time at this bar my buddy bar tends at. I guess its an aquired taste. It's got one hell of a distinctive taste. I don't know about mixing it with anything, I think its best to just take a shot or two raw.

I actually really like this stuff now. Not in the same why I like a good beer. But I really like it.

It's an Italian "Digestivi" Your meant to drink it after a meal to stimulate the stomach acids etc.
