I have a couple springs but they're not color coded for some reason. Just need the diameter, length and coil thickness of a firm spring so I can be sure of what I have.
I doubt this will help much, but I have an (very) old 36 RC2 Van and the accompanying springs. Problem is the fork is actually is at my uncle's house and I don't recall what spring is currently in it. I did find a green spring and a purple spring in my shed, and here's the deets:
Green -
length = 298.45 mm
thickness = 4.7 mm
diameter = 26.1 mm
Purple -
length = 298.45 mm
thickness = 4.2 mm
diameter = 25.9 mm
So I *think* I the firm spring is actually in the fork at the moment, and the green one is "medium", and the purple one is "light". And while the measurements are close, they're not 100% accurate because my digital caliper battery just died. Anyway, hopefully you guys have all the springs and the above measurements will help you deduce which one is the firm spring.
Btw, I thought the firm spring was red, but its so long since I opened it up, that may be wrong. I will be up at my uncles place this weekend if you want the measurements on whatever spring is in the fork. And FWIW, the fork has the pinch bolt clamping system for the axle rather than a "quick release" system, so I'm pretty sure its a first gen model.
So based on that, I think I have the blue spring in the fork currently (either I'm primary color blind or I made up the red color), in which case the green spring measurements listed above should be the firm spring.
