Some friends and I might make a short trip up there next weekend. I know the lifts won't be open yet, but does anyone know if there are other good trails open? Most towns in B.C. have excellent freeride trails. We might go to Nelson instead if Fernie doesn't have a good scene. But I'd rather go to Fernie because it's only 8 hours away, and I've never been there.
Anyone here been to Fernie, B.C. on Mem. Day weekend?

Fernie has some crazy riding. On your way you can stop in Whitefish and I can show you some awesome riding too. There are sooooo many trails in Fernie. We go to Fernie a lot in the summer. Just get a local map or ask at one of the shops for a trail map.
