anyone on here from santa cruz? i'm in town for the summer, taking classes at UCSC and riding. post here or pm me if you're in the area, i'm looking for places to ride and people to ride with. or if you see me on the trail on my Saber, stop and say hey

Lol, I'm a valley. Does that count? But I still mange to get by in SC, and all the locals love me... Its probably my unbeliveably handsome good looks. Ill pop u a PM if I'm gonna be over the hill.

If you haven't gotten more information yet...

Do a google for Soquel Demonstration Forest. There are tons of great trails there at the top of highway 17.

But, if you're at UCSC there are some other VERY good places to Ride much closer. Unfortunately, I've only ridden there once, don't know what the access issues are, or how to get there, but someone should be able to fill you in. If you only ride at "Demo" all summer, you'll still have a great time.

I'm up in the Bay, and can give you more info about trails up there if you're interested, but it would probably be about an hour drive from Santa Cruz, definitely not worth it when there are better trails closer.

thanks for the tips. i picked up some trail maps of Wilder Ranch and Nisene Marks (where Soquel is). Wilder's right nearby, so i'm gonna go explore there for awhile. i've heard about sweet dirt jumps somewhere in aptos, hopefully sometime soon i'll get to the other side of the city to check all those places out.

go to the norcal/bay area forum. the locals lurk around there constantly.
i know 4 or 5 of the top of my head


I'll be down there periodically too. i spent the first large part of my life there
