and i got a question for every one!! do you ever get uys showing up to your local riding spot with a full suspension walmart bike in full riding gear ,i mean this guy showed up the other day and his pads and helmet cost more than his bike!! i think he was riding a pacific ,it was call the ROCKET--is this funny ro any one else?

Actually, you do not know what you are talking about..

No one has ever gotten a ticket for having a shovel at TRU. So everyone stopped maintaining that place.. A shame considering all the work that went into it. 2 guys got arrested over a year and a half ago and the city has since dropped the charges.

Most of those pictures are about that old. Some are new, we had a tribute to our old days since it is where most of us learned to Dj not too long ago.

actually i hit the jumps at 9th on my 20" ---and loco i never cracked on anyones bike just the tight a** look like tour de france spandex --and while most of you guys are in very good shape its the big boys and girls that should have there spandex wearing permit revoked and i' have not bashed anyone --you are doing all the bashing ---and while you may think i don't know much about tru-- i was at 9th street when the local news stoped by and was asking people about an arrest that was made a tru --and they called it an illegal BMX park? i really like it out there but sledom get to austin to ride---only for BMX races --so i hit 9th on my way up or from on sundays ,and those bmx guys you speak of at 9th ? well d-fresh and them never say much to me cause i stay of the pro line and if i do jack somthing up i fix it ,oh and i always bring something to burn-----so try again ,

Not baggin on you really holmes. I'm glad you can ride yo. I would gladly come down and ride with you cats. I am sure I won't hit any big stunts, but how does that make me an ass??? Are you Weaver's buddy from SA that races??? As far as riding goes, I don't have a problem hangin with peeps. It works ok for me.

yes i have known both for --well since 95 or so from when i was 15x --i used to ride my motorcycle to the track with my bike straped to the back---and yes balentine is brianjweaver.com's freind ---JAMES lets go to houston and visit weaver ,wait theres no hills in houston --scratch that

and yea they got tickets down town for riding on the side walk ---they gotta go to court --and that means it could be 150.00 + court costs ? see i stay in the woods,and i found the news paper artical from austin where those guys got tickets for diggin at TRU for who ever said i did'nt know what i was talkin about ---there is no names stated in the artical---check out the austin news site!!

ahahahaha - I thought that it was Bouldin's Creek or whatever where those cats got in trouble. I wondered what happened at TRU. It was like it just kind of vanished from discussion. I also thought the city was helping them build jumps for big bikes at Bouldin's Creek. Haven't heard though. Sounds like the skills thing at City Park may not be all that with stunts now either. Dunno. I know Jaime and some cats have some stuff in SA. Is there more than one spot. Cleburne State Park has some cool stuff hidden around the xc loops, if you didn't know.

Either the paper is wrong or you read it wrong...

No one ever got a ticket at TRU. 2 Guys got arrested and the charges got dropped. The same day that that happened 3 guys got arrested at the Bouldin Creek DJ's. All charges were dropped. So the paper must have gotten the wrong information. Prolly whomever they interviewed at 9th that day. The city was just being stupid. Now they are working with the riders and are in the process of bringing out over 70 dump truck loads to rebuild... (see image link)

I am not sure the jumps will be setup for big bikes, but we plan to help out as much as possible. Maybe we can get some other lines, or shape some MTB friendly transitions.

wow......that is huge. i think burrati was our source for info over on Mojo, but i hadn't heard anything about Bouldin Creek in a long ass time.
