As the single ring versions?
Found a double ring set for a bunch cheaper than the single ring version, but I only want to run the single ring.
anyone know?
(XTR 9100/9120 or XT equivalent? )

IIRC the rear derailleur cage is a different length. The rear mech is definitively a different part number, probably because the 2x is designed to run the smaller range cassette.

Just concerned with the crank arm being compatible with either the double Chainring or the single...but thanks!

Ah sorry, that wasn't very clear I thought you were getting a whole drive set. Not just cranks, you ought to be able to look up the part number of just the drive side crank arm from the parts breakdown.

I know the 780/785 had different chain lines so likely it will be fine but the chain line might be off a tad?
