A salesperson just goes to bike shops and sells the bike parts or whatever/ tells them about it, right? Wonder what the starting salary typically is for this type of thing? Anyone know?

He said Upstate NY: Kingston, Plattsburg, Binghamton, Niagara, Utica. It's all the same, isn't it?
it's a little-known fact that "Upstate NY" officially starts exactly 1 hour north from wherever you live. For NYC and Long Islanders, "Upstate" is around Peekskill/Bear Mtn/etc. For people living in Peeskill, Upstate starts above Poughkeepsie. Even people in Albany don't think they're Upstate, that's reserved for places like Watertown.

you kidding? Most people call Westchester and Rockland upstate! Personally, I think it starts where the subways end.:)

Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, and the southern tier cities are considered to be in Western NY. NY is a big state. We here in western NY have very little to do with NYC and environs other then send our tax dollars down there.....

like I said, low-paying
That's kind of a snotty thing to say.

I would guess (and I'm not an expert by any means) that high 20's or low 30's is closer to the national avg. than "low-paying". It's all relative I guess...

Hey Hey hey! Albany is exactly the Middle East of NY! It's upstate, downstate and West from here! We are the center (of bureaucracy)! ...and there's lots of concrete to ride on as a result...
