I am just looking for input on them. Sounds like something I might want to pick up.

What have your experience with them been like?

Are they just heavy arse cranks on a XCish BB?

Or are they better than BMX 3pc cranks in set up?

Would you suggest them to someone wanting to try a heavy duty crankset?

I already have the FSA X-drive 3pc Chromoly cranks (XC HT) and a pair of Azonic 454's (DH bike)

Just looking for less maintenance and some good durability....but does they put to much stress on the BB (weakest link?)

Just looking for your own personal experiences.

Thanks,

Rhino

They use whatever ISIS BB you put them on. I.e. Gigapipe or Sig. DH or whatever. So it's hardly XC-ish. My experience is that 3-pc cromo BB's tend to hold up a little better than ISIS, so I'd say that X-drives would be superior, provided that you set them up right and don't side-load the bearings.

hey man i see no need for a crack that heavy. i thought that i needed them in the past(i weight in at 240lbs). however now i run fsa v-drive extream cranks and a fsa platnum pro bb. this is the bike that i do most everything with. drops(up about 9' i'm good for), urban(just hard on the bike). also i do all this on a hardtail so you now the cracks are being punished all the time. so far i have had no problems and it been about a year now since i bought the cranks and bb
