If you dont you should. Everyone knows that most mountain bikers just wish they were rally car drivers, and the ones that dont wish that are just wrong. That said, if anyone has gotten to Rally Greece in Advanced 4wd championship, is there some car setup trick that needs to be done?? Ive won all the rallies thus far with large margins, and Im dirving pretty clean in Greece and getting my ass kicked.

If you guys want an insanely realistic rally game, invest in Rally Trophy. i would say this game is more of a simulator in the way Grand Prix Legends is. Basically requires a wheel, and a good attention span. car physics are great. to get fwd cars to slide, you have to eploy a scandanavian flick, or handbrake etc, rwd cars require carefull throttle modulation, and its actually satisfying when you get a nice slide. The stratos is damn hard to drive. lotsa power and rwd, = good lick getting out of the starting gate for the first week or so :) http://rally.jowood.com/rally-e/index.php

I own WRC 2 for PS2, which has very lame arcade like handling physics, GT3- which is great for road racing but all the rally driving is on super wide looped tracks and is timed nothing at all like rally racing, and CMR4, which I must say rocks the house. I bought the Mad Catz Xbox racing wheel just for it, but Im sorry to say its getting returned becasue its a POS and has a huge dead spot in the steering even with the calibration as tight as it will go. Colin McRae is well worth the very reasonable 19.99 that it costs, there are 6 different championships to do if I counted right, each taking a significant amount of time, so I dont think I will get bored with it too soon. Colin Mcrae 2005 comes out in October, so it may be worth waiting if you're not dying for a new game. One more postitive note about CMR4, I have to admit that despite being someone who spends entirely too much of my time playing racing rames, it really kicked my ass at first. The roads are narrow and lined with plenty of stumps, road signs, rocks, ect the stop you dead and tear up your car. It really forces you to tighten up your reactions and focus pretty hard the whole time, great stuff.

I rented RSC 2 last week and loved it. I haven't tried Colin McRae yet. I've never thought there was much comparison with PS2 games vs. Xbox games. From what I've seen the Xbox version has always looked better. Just my opinion. I eventually sold my PS2.

What platform are you guys using? I'd like to get cmr4 for ps2, but it doesn't look like they released it in the us...even though it's available overseas...>WTF?

Should I just grab it for the PC?

I've gotta have my PS2 to play gran turismo 4 when it comes out, but I have no doubt that the xbox is the best system currently availible. For the same cost as the PS2 you get a system with better graphics processing and general functioning, and the harddrive eliminates the need to spend 15 bucks a piece on PS2 memory cards or a hundred bucks on a PS2 hard drive. Plus the controllers (smaller style) are more ergonomic than the PS2 controller.

Still fighting my way through advanced 4wd championship in CMR4, currently on second day of rally japan, the difficulty of the chapionship continues to ramp up, it basically requires perfection at this point.

well after 2 long days on both CMR4 and richard burns rally i can honestly say they both RULE!!!

richard burns rally - pretty damn hard to get a hang of, but it feels so rewarding when you get it just right, i've spent about twice as much time playing it and i've only just finished the first round of the season.
handling is very tough but good. graphics are amazing, sound is not too hot, dump valve sounds pathetic and is really starting to P me off especially when feathering the accelerator. its not as hard and unenjoyable as some reviews say, infact i'm finding it very enjoyable and a welcome challenge. tuning options are aplenty, i havnt even bothered to touch most of it, you can evenad just tire pressure. attention to detail is second to none.
the games physics gives an amazing sense of speed and the cars weight
in my oppinion the best rally game EVER!!! all you need is a little patience.

CMR4 - well i'm sure you all know what its like so i wont bother to go into detail, i'm really enjoying this to, its a completly different animal, more of a pick up and play sort of game like rallisport challenge 2, fun from the get go, not as much of a challenge yet, but i've only really just completed the 4wd normal difficulty, i'm sure advanced will be a good challenge.

i'm using both PS2 and Xbox, much prefer the xbox but there are some games that i just have to have the ps2 for, for example GT3/GT4 prologue and of coure GT4 when it comes out.when ever i can i'll get the Xbox version of a game.
better graphics, i prefer the chunky Xbox controller(fits my hands better), plus all the other added benifits.
