I miss playing poker in general with my buddies back west, but I really miss Texas. I've even been known to watch the tourneys on ESPN2. Anyone else play? Home games or casino? I've yet to hit the casino, but I've won a pretty serious tournament my buddies put together ($600 - $100 by in).

Nice. Maybe I need to go back to college. My buddy had his own chips made - real chips and we had 4 dealers last time. Such a game. I'd love to get one going here. MtbikeNJ said they used to have a game.....think it was straight poker though. My buddy says he's going to enter next years championship ($10,000) buy in. He has a problem me thinks, especially because I beat his ass. :)

I used to play pitch all the time, but no one plays cards anymore. My brother recently got me in to poker (texas hold em), and I've started playing on line lately. I enjoy playing cards, and with the popularity of the world poker tour, everyone is playing poker right now it seems.

Yea i've played i like it but not to many people around do. i went to the casino this past weekend and tried to get on a table but they were all booked up.
i've only played once, without ever playing, and the table was $6 max. i bought in at $100 and 2 hours later left with about $250. It was fun but i made a LOT of rookie mistakes but they mostly worked in my favor because the regulars figured i was so green i was bluffing the whole time. i was getting some bad ass cards, yo.

One of, if not the worst, hand to hold on to.

There's good online Texas. I just forget where. If I find the link I'll post it. Free and for real.

Yeah, it was one of our $50 buy in nights. I think we had 7 or 8 people playing, so there was a little bit of money floating around. Anyway, this guy from work was just kicking my arse holding on to absolute garbage. Feeling confidant with a flush and he gets a full house on like 9's and 2's WITHOUT a pair in the hole?!? Who holds on to that? Then the 7 and 3 hand. Sheez, anyway he beats me on like 5 or 6 hands and then I finally got him on a full house for the biggest pot of the night. He eventually ended up having to buy in a couple of more times. Karma baby! Karma! It's ok to loose a few battles now and then, as long as you win the war. :thumb:

a friend is playing on the Copenhagen chewing tobacco online tournament. he chews - nasty habit. almost took a drink from his spit cup once because it was sitting next to my coffe. good thing i looked in the cup first.

we did used to play texas hold 'em sometimes at our games, but only a couple of times. I need to get that going again. maybe at the studio I'm at now before I get the new digs. or maybe you should host at MK's studio when he's not around... hehe

anyway, spin maybe we should get a game going at MBW.
