Im sure that the bike is fine for big hit stuff as there's tons of travel, and the frame is quite beefy and its all top end stuff on the S3 model for 2005, but Im just curious as to how this bike perfroms as a trail rider.

Anyone got one?

I do all kinds of riding and may soon have to resort to owning only ONE bike for a while and was looking at a Cannondale Prophet very seriously, but Im having second thoughts, because I do go bigger than what that bike would allow, and I know I will just feel restrained on the thing when I want to jump stuff.

So, about the switch, how are they as a trail bike? And as an FR bike all around?

I searched, I swear.

Sorry, I'm Canadian ..sorry...
I'm not a fan of the Switch. Though I have little quality ride time on one, the time I've had I found it to be a little too active. It seemed to have a lot of pedal feedback and bobbed and bounced quite a bit. That one had a Fox Vanilla R on it, maybe a Swinger of 5th would settle it down a little.

This one was equiped with a Sherman Breakout, I think singletrack wheels though they may have been DitchWitch's, XT, 8" Hayes, dual front rings and it easily out-weighed my Giant DH Comp.

I'ts undeniably a strong bike, but not for me..

Rode one with the Fox DHX 5.0 shock, and it was pretty amaizing, it also had a 66RC on the front, and jumped, and rode very nicely.

Yeah. That's the model I was thinking about. See pic. Looks pretty spiffy to me. I just want to know how it trail rides.

My friend used to have one and it held up really well. He did 20 ft doubles on it, DH runs (this guy is a nut, he is state Jnr DH champ however that's on his M1) and drops up to about 11ft. He is pretty harsh on his bikes, he snapped two 01 Specialized S works DH bikes.
