Looks pretty good. Anyone?

Hood River looks nice. Anyone live there? How is the weather year around? How much snow in the winter? Any info as I have been thinking of moving and Hood River is on my list.

Post Canyon is lots of fun, even for beginners. As for Hood River, the cost of housing is $$$$ and it's really wet in the winter.

My good friend lives there, that how I've experienced it, so that's my filter. They live in a fixer upper in town that they bought 7 years ago for 250K, and they commute to Portland. The house is nothing special, a 3br 2 bath daylight rancher that's worth about 500k now, and it's not close to being done. It's a town with about two of everything, 2 video stores etc. Lots of new money coming in with the sport scene: windsurfing is really big there, X games etc. I havne't spent much time exploriing the town, we are usually taking our bikes out somewhere. My take on it was white bread small town trying to morph into something a little cooler and a lot more spendy.
