I thought M3's were supposed to be 2004 models? So let me get this straight, they are no longer making M1 & their parts, but are replacing it with a bike that really doesn't even exist to the public for another 6 or so months?

They have been riding them for most of the season. Maybe they got priority since the shop they're affiliate with are a big intense dealer combined with the fact that several had no rides since their M1s broke last season with no parts available. All were also small sizes so maybe that makes a difference..

Dayum, so, without the $ for the upgrade which I'm sure is steep, the market for a used M1 must be dropping like a rock. That totally sucks and doesn't make a whole lotta sense to me. I'm sure they've got the tooling and what not to make more. Guess I'm kinda glad I got rid of mine now.
Edit: my bad, that had nothing to do with this thread. Terrible E-ttiquette here.

seriously doubt that. the only frames out there are the prototypes and the versions used by the team (DK, Sabrina, April, Joel Panozzo, and CK should be getting his, & probably (donno) some out in the uk - Pagey, etc). as for amateurs....i highly doubt it. even if their shop is affiliated w/ Intense (as a dealer). I know for a fact that the Intense employees are still waiting for their own (wheter they are first on the list or not is unknown...but i'm sure they'd get them over any amateur racer). I'm still waiting for mine....should be any time now.... lol but it'll be worth the wait.
yes it was dumb to eliminate not only the M1, but a few of their other lines, when there wasn't an immediate replacement. I know they lost a lot of $$ on this...but that's business for ya. if these issues aren't taken care of properly.....well you know what happens. Still, expect to see several new VPP lines at Interbike (V6, Tazer VPP, ). donno when some of these new frames will be available, but there's sure to be a wait list.....after my name
