Anyone see the "I survived" show on UPN last night?

Did you see the guy who went 104 mph down the side of a volcano? First he did it on what I could have sworn looked like a Giant DH Comp. Then he tried it again on one of those Jan Karpiel type snow DH bikes. The thing snapped in two at about 100 mph. Wasn't pretty but he was basically ok.

If it's the one I saw, the second bike he used, the one he 'went for the record' on, was built in his garage by him and his buddy.

One show had some shots of it in process. scary looking sh1t

Sounds like the show on TLC or Discovery called 'More than Human'. The one I saw shoewed a guy that was trapped in that double decker bridge during the last big earthquake in the bay area.

They went as a far a recreating the accident and everything.

Did you mean Dan Hannebrink? I don't know of any Karpiel snow bikes?

No idea who it was. But Jan Karpiel broke some speed records on on of those funky carbon fiber, straight line type bikes. I just meant it was that kind of bike.
