Using a Galaxy 4S for several years, iphone 5 for work.
New Galaxy explodes so that's out of consideration.
Not opposed to trying something new so looking at the Pixel or iphone 7.

Buddy picked up a pixel the other day. He seems to like it a lot, but maybe just new toy honeymoon? I've been eyeballing one for Fi, but I still am madly with my Nexus 6, and can't justify the cost of a pixel right now.

The current high end options have all been mentioned.

S7 and S7 Edge are good mid-range options and don't have battery problems like the Note 7.

OnePlus 3T is a good budget option especially for prepaid use like straight talk sim on AT&T:

so that's was the issue; I thought ALL of the new Samsung 7 series were recalled. S7 is back in the lead.

@Nick I just set up an iphone7.
Nuked all the native apple apps and am running full google suite.
Seems like a sweet setup so far.

I liked the android on my nexus 6p, but the hardware and constant updating pissed me off. The reception, call quality and speed of the 7 blow the 6p away.
