OK, so I got my tank all set up, and all I need is a light fixture. I have a planted tank, with tropical fish in freshwater.
My options are- spend $60 or so on a real light.
Spend 40 on a shop light with an aquarium bulb and a daylight bulb, which I may be able to get to fit, but still isn't really meant for aquariums and will require some modification.
Or, experiment with cold cathode lights, maybe run 4 or 5 white CCFLs in a row on top of my tank? Would that work? Good, bad, etc?
I need to wait until i get my confirmation email before I can post on a real fish site.
