I was looking at getting a used 03' spitfire 99 with junior T and other upgrades..does anyone know how good this bike performs? and is it DH race worthy (1 or 2 races)

Personally I was curious also. Thats why I took a peek.
No personal experience. I know they are owned by procycle, same as Rocky and CCM and now Balfa.
I don't recall ever hearing anything positive or negative about that bike, is it a hard to find brand?

Doesn't look like anything spectactular to me. The 04 has a straight seat tube and the 03 has a bend similiar to the Giant AC series(have to open the 2003 pdf file)

Most of the Oryx bikes are built at Astro, which is the same taiwan framehouse that builds many high end fs bikes for american brands, like Azonic. I wouldn't go buying a 2nd hand bike that has no American warranty support or distribution though...
