a question for the ages, never to be resolved for good.
however, this doesn't help make the case for dems:
Senate panel's GOP staff pried on Democrats
From the spring of 2002 until at least April 2003, members of the GOP committee staff exploited a computer glitch that allowed them to access restricted Democratic communications without a password. Trolling through hundreds of memos, they were able to read talking points and accounts of private meetings discussing which judicial nominees Democrats would fight -- and with what tactics.
in context

as a conservative & a geek, i nearly pissed myself when i read this. Oh, yeah, i guess there's the lingering issue of integrity. If this doesn't work the left into a froth, nothing will.

shields up!

We have Bush on one hand who has to be the grandest idiot to ever hold the office of President of the United States. On the other hand we have the brilliant but sinister Dick Chaney pulling the strings from down in a bunker somewhere. I am willing to bet that if you studied the demographics of both parties you would find the Democrats to be much better educated as a whole. With more education comes a broader view of the world and hence a more liberal outlook. This of course, is just my opinion.

Politically speaking, it would appear the Republicans are being smarter now. And regarding ethics, well, both sides threw them out years ago. If the Democrats were able to hack the Republican computers, they would have jumped on it. But I wonder just how smart the Republicans are. They got caught. And they have been caught before. Maybe it's a case of Dumb, Dumber, and Dumbest. With the US population being the Dumbest.

My girlfriend, a conservative, says that a lot of conservatives are former liberals that have been mugged. I always get a chuckle out of that one and I think there is some truth to that.

Here is something I just got off one of the About.com Music newsletters.

In "The Devil's Dictionary," Ambrose Bierce defines education as: "That which discloses to the wise and disguises from the foolish their lack of understanding."

I think there is some truth to that statement as well.

Oh, who ever said that ethics were a part of politics anyway. I believe the ethical politician is far and few between.

Conservativve girlfriend? What good is that? Liberals have WAY more permissive sexual practices....how are you ever going to get a conservative girlfriend to invite her best friend to engage in a three-way?

You gotta think outside the box.....

(In retrospect...you can insert your own jokes here)
