It may have to be a stop gap solution until we can get another forum up and running, which carries monthly fees.
The site has value, and anything of value will live on. AMI will surely sell off brands to recoup some $$$.
Anyone on here a developer that can write a script to crawl/store post content?
I'm already crawling the past content but it's only going to be somewhat useful - there are a lot of reasons why it's difficult to store this kind of content in an accessible way, and you'd never make it interactive again.
I'm not super worried about spinning up a new site if needed. I can do that pretty rapidly. It would just be a shame to lose two decades worth of content.

I kind of treat it like Facebook and use it for trail info, reports, conditions, etc. They are way too uptight.
I am one of 'em. We eventually started www.huckingkitty.com but I became monkey for life.
TGR migration is a possibility, but the flavor there is way different. People don’t seem to ‘look out for each-other’ as much as on here.

If worst case happens and RM just up and vanishes, I'll spin up another forum. I own the Ridemonkey XenForo license, so it can be moved over to another domain.

But let's not despair yet. I have some communications out looking for clarity. Ridemonkey as a site is cheap to run (no editorial staff) and generates pageviews, so there's good reason to sell it off rather than killing it. I'll post as I have information.
