Corporate earnings are in the shitter
30 million out of 160 million workers have lost their jobs
The stock market is only down 10% and seemingly improving with the fed spitting out free money

Well not free, we will all pay for this with inflation and taxes, of which corporations and the wealthy pay little of.

This is not a free market, this is not capitalism
We have become a socialist plutocracy

Doing everything I can now to make sure the girls will learn tangible skills for life vs. things like... marketing and sales. Those other skills will allow them to be valuable in other places than here.

Hey JBP! :)

I would contend that, for example, most of Europe, especially Scandinavia, Germany, Belgium, Holland, Switzerland, China, a variety of African countries, especially those associated with the Belt and Road initiative, plus New Zealand, Iceland, Greenland, several of the ex-soviet 'stans, are all experiencing improving human outcomes at the moment.

Directly relevant to this, JBP;

Regression to the mean?

Quality of life is such a soft metric that it’s tougher to be proud of it. What even is quality of life? Number one in military budget or national debt are much firmer measurements to point at with pride.
