I believe he also referred to his VP as “vice president Trump” at one point yesterday.

Frankly, I flub peoples names pretty often, but switching up Putin for Zelensky and Trump for Harris seems like a clinical issue.

I’d be curious to hear what an impartial neuro-stuff doc has to say.

This was my thought as well. We all flub basic stuff occasionally, or have a brain fart, and Bidens been infamous for this shit forever, but this feels like something more that just a "gaffe".

apparently it's associated with stuttering and he's been doing it for many years. anyway, he corrected himself

while a bad mistake, i'd still vote for that over the end of democracy.
If Biden drops dead tomorrow, I'd still vote for him over Trump, don't get me wrong. But optics are a thing. I didn't give a shit about his debate "performance" but yee gads mixing up the two belligerents for the start of WW3 is pretty egregious especially when all the messaging from the Biden camp is that the debate was a one off flub.

I have no idea if his stutter is a part of that or no, and his correction is certainly signs of awareness, but again, optics. It looks bad. The most important thing here is proving he's still with it and can beat Trump. Every time something like this happens it makes people doubt.

Left a couple of canned messages for my esteemed NY senators. Never did that before but will probably make a routine every morning for a while. Lead from behind!

Today's call was to NY's governor Herself, supporting the need to remove Eric Adams from the NYC mayoral office. I know there's a few things going on right now, but holy shit, this is some pro-level quid pro quo

Today’s reading Common Sense by Thomas Paine. It’s hard not to think the USA is at a point of murkiness blurring society and government. But maybe the world has always been that way.

Presidents Day. Shit's fucked up right now. Maybe you've noticed. Wanted to do something. Ended up in Union Square with a shitload of other motherfuckers in a huge protest. Not a lot of cops, which was a shock. Big Candy Crush tournament going on maybe, or it was too cold and windy.

Ended up near some people campaigning for Brand Lander running for mayor. Gave them a piece of my mind about NY's closed primaries and how annoyed I was with the blitz by the democratic party going after independents to change their political affiliation to democrat to vote in the upcoming primary, rather than, I dunno, recognizing there are over 1 million independents in NYC alone, and maybe you 'd reach more people by having open primaries to be more inclusive.

There was no recognition that was even an option. Back when Bloomberg won, he ran as an independent and won over the democratic heavy hitter, mainly because of the independent vote. One of the things bro ran on was moving to open primaries in NYC.

Shocker, the NY Democrat party machine -- not, like, a good party machine, like karaoke boom box with built-in disco lights -- shut it down. Which is how end up with a fucking Bill DeBlasio, and a motherfucking Eric Adams and why assbag motherfucking Cuomo is going to end up as the next mayor. This time, people will learn, right? Or in another 4 years, am i going to get spammed with pre-filled out voter-change-request forms with the promise that this time, really, we got a guy?

If we're still here in 4 years. Anyway, democrats aren't going to save you. Except, maybe AOC, and they're about to send her to Guantanamo.

That was a waste of a quarter

For about 32 seconds yesterday I was impressed that she told Trump to fuck off about canceling congestion pricing, because she herself created a crisis about it 6 months ago before backpedaling and approving a watered-down version, which has still been a success. Chickening out on firing the mayor feels more on-brand for the democrats inaction we all know and love.

I'm pointing out a lot of local-to-me bullshit but it's something I can have direct impact on. It takes a borough to build a guillotine, or however that saying goes
