Riding the baggage carousel.
If you're voting by mail, better get that shit in extra early

"Yes, we are beginning to see those changes and how it is impacting the mail. Mail is beginning to pile up in our offices, and we're seeing equipment being removed. So we are beginning to see the impact of those changes."

If you can’t follow simple directions and execute an either/or, fill in the bubble ballot on your own perhaps voting by mail is not for you.

Most absentee or mail-in ballots are rejected because required signatures are missing or don't match the one on record, or because the ballot arrives too late.

Smith added that the rejection numbers are only part of the picture. He said they don't always take into account mail-in ballots that are initially accepted but then not counted because of other mistakes, such as a voter incorrectly choosing too many candidates or incorrectly circling a candidate's name instead of filling in the bubble next to it.

"Those mistakes are avoided when you vote in person," Smith said. "You have seven, 10 people who can assist you in terms of making sure that you know about the ovals having to be filled out." As a result, only about one-hundredth of a percent of in-person ballots are rejected compared with about 1% of mail-in ballots.

Did anyone post this yet?:

Since reading The Global Minotaur, stuff like this has been on my mind:

In the wake of the war, with Europe and Japan in ashes, the United States with but 6 percent of the world’s population accounted for half of the global economy, including the production of 93 percent of all automobiles. Such economic dominance birthed a vibrant middle class, a trade union movement that allowed a single breadwinner with limited education to own a home and a car, support a family, and send his kids to good schools.

I want to write a long post to respond to Mandown about capitalism, printing money and the practical effects of owning the reserve currency, real world production capabilities and socialism, bit not right now.

I know donnie (he doesn’t get a capital anymore) says a lot of dumb shit but this seems particularly dangerous if we see it repeated any number of times. He’s always been about trial balloons so let’s see if he thinks this one will stick:

Yup. The only way for him to lose is if it is rigged. Cast doubt on the process unless it yields the desired results. As I said in another post:
- If he loses by a narrow margin, he will claim victory if you account for “fake” votes.
- If he loses by a wide margin, it will “obviously” be rigged.

Careful with long posts aimed at me. My attention span is what it is.

There better be a task force charged with boosting his ass out of there if the election turns Biden. Of course if he needs to be forcibly removed he’ll flip that into a rallying cry for his base.

In a van.... down by the river
Jesus fucking Christ on a stick. You guys are probably right, and it horrifies me.

We kind of deserve this horseshit, though, don't we?

Maybe it will actually do us some good in the long run, in terms of a functioning, 1st-world nation?

A man can hope still, right? :disgust:

I do not trust the Daily Mail in general, and try not to give them my clicks (and clear my cookies if I do!) They are pretty terrible wannabe nazis. One of their nicknames is the Daily Heil. They lie frequently about various aspects of a story to suit their agenda, and are owned by a proper cunt. They are Fox News for the UK.

Can you find the same story elsewhere?
Are the major points factually the same?

Often one of those is a nope. And OMG the comments.

Peaceful trump supporter who backs the blue just needs protection supplies for the next fight they start in portland

This guy was arrested yesterday for attacking people

Since he's white and on their 'side', they of course just chatted him up and released him.

Also no windows were broken or valuable garbage burned.
