My thoughts on ID are pretty much the same as CA. Beautiful state, here for the topography and nature, vast majority of population not worth interacting with and should be actively avoided.

In NC, if you are registered to vote as an independent, you get to choose which primary to vote in. I know several people who changed affiliation to be able to vote against Wheelie McShitbag. If I had to guess, I'd say that's how he got ousted. I'm in his district and I'm quite glad to see him leaving. The state Republican party put lots of effort in to pushing Edwards as his replacement. Chuck has been my state Senator for a while and he's been mostly tolerable. As long as he doesn't screw up to bad, he'll probably keep this seat for as long as he wants, barring any changes to the boundaries.

Keep in mind that Wheelie McShitbag got over 30 percent of the vote. That tells me that he probably would have won the primary had two things not happened. First, the powers that be wanting him gone as he'd become too much of a liability. I got stuff in the mail daily for the last two weeks pushing Edwards. Two, many folks made the change to independent to get him gone. This district is solidly red. It will remains so unless the Democrats gain control in Raleighwood. Edwards isn't my choice to be there but he is an improvement, albeit a small one. Sometimes you gotta do and all....

Back in the day CA only let you vote in your party’s primary. I registered Republican because I was more concerned about the potential for distasteful Republican candidates than Democratic ones so I wanted to be able to participate in that primary voting.

There was a gal bitching on Facebook about the fact none of the candidates she wanted to vote for were on her ballot. She registered as libertarian and was confused by the folks that were listed. :rofl:

Party affiliation preventing you from voting is stupid, but not as stupid as registering as a Libertarian.

You've seriously never noticed that in ANY vehicle?

Yeah it's very much a thing. The little internal pendelum latch that locks the chest strap when the car stops, or in this case hits a bump, locks, unlocks if you accelerate but will immediately lock again in a tighter spot, creating the cycle. You only have soft green hills in VT. Need some rugged mountain stuff I guess. I'm talking like 3mph stuff.

Also, it's across your chest, not your gut.
