This is basically the republican ideology wrapped up in a microcosm. Hmm, cutting taxes for big business and having the poorest people fit the bill for everything hasn't worked yet...but damnit, we are going to find a way to make it work and keep trying!

Any possibility that the repubs could nominate somebody that the dems could get on board with? Like a moderate republican fetching 50% of the dems and getting things going again? or do you think they'll just stand in unity and allow the repubs to dismantle themselves?
