I mentioned in a GMT that a coworker just decided to move to Indiana because the schools here are terrible. The obvious quiet part was that he didn't want his kids to catch the gay. He is leaving a sweet R&D gig to be a configuration coordinator for a generator manufacturer. A job that can easily be replaced by existing off the shelf software.
