What a crock.

So here it is... If this is not something that he could have been arrested for in public then they have no case.

End of thread.

Snipped from the second link.

"I said, 'Yes, ma'am,'" Marman said. "I tried to pull it up but I couldn't because I was carrying two big bags and I was in a line of people all moving fast toward the plane."

...

"I took my seat and pulled up my pants, but a flight attendant came and told me to step off the plane," Marman said. "I told her I did nothing wrong, 'I committed no crime. I did nothing wrong. I paid my ticket. Why are you asking me to get off the plane?' I refused to do that."

While this is retarded, and has the potential to make Mr. Marman a rich man courtesy of US Airways, I would point out that yes, you can be arrested for not complying with flight crew instructions. It is a potential felony in fact.

*edit: There is a TSA joke in this story somewhere, I know it.

The flight crew needs to be giving reasonable instructions. What if she had told him to pull down his pants, could he be arrested for not complying?

Pretty funny that even flight attendants, when given a little authority, go on a power trip.

PS. Should have called this thread "White women still afraid of black cock"

"One of the flight attendants on that aircraft was offended by the fact that she could see the outline of his private area."

To be clear, I am in NO way defending the airline here, this was clearly handled very poorly by the flight crew. The argument thats going to be made by US Airways however is that Mr. Pants Around His Ankles presented a safety issue. I.E. pants not being properly ....secured.... might impede his ability to egress from the airplane in a timely manner in the event of an emergency. (BTW this IMHO is a perfectly valid argument to use against fat people on airplanes.) And yes, Flight Attendants very frequently turn into power tripping little fascists, because of the way the laws are now and "terrorism" concerns. A flight attendant is God on his/her airplane and they know it, they are worse than cops. You have zero recourse as a passenger.

Now why can't they be power mad freaks when it comes to those stinking sweating lardy's taking up half of your seat.... or obnoxious kids kicking the seat (or being just generally ill behaved spoiled brats).

This is probably how it went down... I know the type.

Ok ok it gets better.

White guy wears this:

No one cares.

Black guy sags pants... gets arrested.

http://blogs.kqed.org/newsfix/2011/06/22/us-airways-passenger-wearing-womens-underwear/

Also a lulz worthy snip from this article:

http://blogs.kqed.org/newsfix/2011/06/17/interviews-with-deputy-da-and-us-airways-on-saggin-pants-case/

Is it a policy of U.S. Airways to remove people from planes for wearing pants that expose their underwear?

(In) this particular incident, the individual was removed from the aircraft after repeatedly ignoring crewmember instructions.

What was the safety concern related to his attire?

The safety concern was repeatedly ignoring the crew members' instructions.

How does that become a safety issue?

The safety of all our passengers and employees is our top priority and it's important to adhere to crewmember instuctions, which is paramount in ensuring a safe and comfortable traveling environment.

Regardless of the content of the instruction, you mean?

That's correct.
So if the flight attendant tells you to bend over and take it, then you better listen or the popo are gonna come running (assuming you are not white).

^^^ not a theory. That guy actually got on a US Airways flight a few weeks ago no problem, hence the link.

Or are you referring to the bend over and take it part?
