I got my hands on a 3.0x24 Arrow Prime Bite. I am going to put it on my wifes Big Hit on the rear. How are they for a rear tire? She runs a Michy 2.8 in the front and the Arrow is almost the exact width as the Michy. Opinions on this combo. I would just ride the bike and test it out but the bike is set up for a 130 lb rider.... Anyone run this set up or have an opinion on the Arrow Prime Bite as a rear?????

We have huge rocks and roots here in Montana. All our trails are like Garbonzo at Whistler. The bike is set up for everything. Believe it or not she still rides the bike on 10 mile XC rides. She is 5'8" and 130 lbs so no she is NOT big at all. The arrow 3.0x24 is more like a big 2.7.....

I know, I was just being a smartass. I've ridden xc in montana a bit and the one thing you guys do have is moisture. I equate big tires with areas that lack traction.

That's rad she rides something that probably weighs 1/3 of her body weight on xc rides. Get her a lighter set of tires and I'll bet she takes it on 30 mile rides. Oh sorry, I can't turn off the smartass today. I'm assuming you guys ride DH with this bike too right?

Seriously though, of the 2 or 3 people I know that have ridden arrow tires, they've all seemed pretty happy with them. This is on dusty terrain though so if they hold here, they'll probably work out well in your parts. They look tough as hell. And you guys need that in case a grizzly comes chomping at you from behind.

depending on what rim you have, my arrow rim and arrow 24's are excellent at running ghetto tubless. i have arrow's sticky compound tires and have run as low as 16 psi (accidentally) with no problems and i have SUPER trackion.

you didnt say if you had thier SRS tire but their tires have such a strong sidewall, you can really run the pressure down low and not flat.

good choise on the arrow!
