That's funny. The name sounded familiar, and I remembered "Good Will Hunting", where Matt Damon compares Robin Williams' painting to this one.

Famous Civil War era painter. Also know for the first photo in the thread, as it was used as cover art for Hemingway's 'Old man and the Sea' for multiple printings.

He's one of the great American artists.

I went to the Los Angeles County Museum of Art a while ago and saw a whole Winslow Homere exhibit. I also read a book about him. His paintings are cool.
