I dont mind the concept, but people are stupid about it. How is it that you need assistance? Just drink some clorox or something or jump off the roof of the nursing home.
If your religion is linked to faith , then have faith that in asssisting in my suicide all we be better.
Apparently you don't understand the concept. Assisted suicide is for those that are unable to off themselves. Terminally ill, bed ridden, can't wipe your own ass kinda thing [but mentally soundBurlySurly said:

The scenario:You have lots of money and your kids are evil. Although you are normally a happy go lucky fella, they whisper nasty nothings in your ear until your esteem and confidence is such a wreck you just want to die. ... and if the nasty nothings don't work, your evil children might somehow force you to sign the death warrant by threatening your favorite Chihuahua or some such diabolical plan. We in Oregon have voted for this right not once, but twice. We've even had our Republican Sen. Gordon Smith vote against us [limit gov't my ass]. And now Ashcroft wants the federalese to overide. I guess states rights only applies to the racist god-fearing bible belt.
