I just bought a Atom Lab wheel from a guy to use with my Free. He advertised it as a 12x150. When I went to get it, I found that the hub appeared to measure 135, however, there was a alu spacer on each side, and when measuring the entire stack (hub and spacers) it came out to 150.

So...
1. Is this truly a 150 hub? When I bolt it on to my Free, the stays seem to flex in slightly. Is that ok?

2. Is this hub interchangeable as a 135 (no spacers) or a 150 (with)?

3. The bolt is difficult to tighten even with a crescent wrench (I have to use a socket to really tighten it)--can I remove the axle and just use the axle that came with my Free? It doesnt look like a removeable t/a.

I guess my main question is really #1. I dont want to **** up my frame using the wrong hub. The dude said it came off an Uzzi...

Thanks in advance

I thought the reason for using a 150mm was to create a bigger angle between the two sets of spokes to make a stronger wheel as the hub shell is wider. Sounds like your Atomlab is a 135 hub shell with some sort of home made? spacer arrangement. But if it fits in a 135mm rear end then there is no advantage to had from the 150mm rear end of your Free.

Where do the spacers go? I know there are hubs made (WTB is actually the only one I know for sure) that have spacers that fit between the spokes and the cassette, creating a 135 or 150 hub. Maybe atomlab makes them too?
