Almost ten years ago I warned the management at the organization I work at that placing the computer room Right next to the street, at ground level, in a glass building, rendered it vulnerable to a number of things. I included smash and grab theft, small IED, HERF generator, small children with rocks, drive-bys and bums P*ssing on the window. They weren't concerned, if we were a normal business, they might be right, but we're a law enforcement agency, and one people are frequently upset with.
The local yokels by the way, put their computer room in a basement, in a concrete and steel reinforced building with a lot of stand off distance.
