you could try compressing it with Divx or Xvid
yea I'm with Corey. AVI is kind of a dated video codec, the quality is good, but the corresponding file size is not.
But, if you're hung up with using AVI, you're going to have to sacrifice one (or more) of the following:
-bit rate
-FPS (more or less same thing as bit rate, at least in terms of final video stream)
-video output size
-audio quality

No, not hung up at all. WMV compresses nicely. I outputted to that and got it to 23 MB.
