I've got some 8" avids that I need brake cables for and I was wondering if anyone knew anything about Jagwire Rattler Macs, in particular, compared with the Avid Full Metal Jacket? Which way should I go? Anyone had any probs. with the FMJ considering those long metal tubes look like they're just asking to be bent or something along those lines?

I put the Avid FMJ's on my Surly Instigator. Even custom contoured the to fit the frame's profile. An urban machine, so it takes a bit of a beating. My opinion... does its job(no flex)and looks damn good.
Get the Avid FMJs! Avid makes good housing and you can't go wrong with housing and brakes both made by them.

I'm running the FMJ cables now and have had no problems and they seem to be working well. I will say that I doubt they make enough of a difference over a more standard setup to justify the difficulty of installation. I had to do some garage engineering to get the whole thing going on my Bullit/Z1, which as far as I know is a common setup out there. I have zip ties where bikes shouldn't/don't normally. Lemme know if you have any specific questions.
Thanks for all the replies everyone. I ended up buying the Rattler Macs for two reasons:
1) They were cheaper by 10 bucks (Cambria Bike Outfitters online)
2) I've heard stories from quite a few people similar to yours about how difficult they can sometimes be to set up. Don't wanna have to deal with that! when the Rattler Macs will run down there like any other regular cable.
