I have some 05 Avid Juicy 7’s that have been having some problems since new.

When it’s a hot day they pump up and have hardly any lever travel and the pads pump out and rub on the rotor creating quite a bit of drag. I bought them complete and pre-bled from the factory so it’s not like I’ve bled them wrong….

Has any one ever had this happen or have heard of it happening? Do you know of a fix? I’m thinking they just have too much fluid in the system and it’s not allowing enough room for heat expansion…

Really sounds like some moisture got in. Get a new bottle of fluid and try rebleeding.

    All fixed...:)

They must have just been over filled from the factory and it wasn't allowing enough room for expansion.

Yesterday I let about 5 drops of fluid out of the caliper bleed port. It has been really hot in the shed today and they have not changed one bit.
