The steerer tube angle (adjustable HA's make this term more accurate!) is too steep and the bb is too high. It would be incapable of going fast.
And where's the integrated seat collar? Every new knockoff has one!

Glory hole yes. But not maestro. Maestro/dw has the big lower link going in front and slightly higher the the bb. That main pivot also serves as the lower shock bolt.
The lower looks like a banshee-esq pivot.
Just by comparing different established models. I'd say he needs that idler arm due to that lower pivot location. Altho I'd like to hear it from somebody with more of an armchair e-engineerd degree than my ignorant ass.
