I found and tried out this Windows installation customization utility the other day. It is slick.

It allows you to completely customize your Windows install. You can set up your install to be completely unattended (preconfigured serial number, time zones, languages, etc.), as well as total customization of everything that Windows installs - from the components, to the visual styles and colors, right down to which services should be turned on and off. You can slipstream service backs, hotfixes, patches and even drivers all into the install so your first boot doesn't have to be a nightmare of download/install/reboot cycles.

You can even configure programs to be run at first boot so your A/V programs or what-have-you can be installed.

Obviously, this was all possible before - but usually required a lot of editing of .ini files. This program allows a simple, step-by-step configuration, and then a one click ISO creator at the end.

The advanced users can spend an hour setting up their install right to their specifications, while the average person can just slipstream Service Pack 2 in and set up their serial number/language settings so the install is quick and easy.

Two thumbs up for this kickass free utility.
