Lets get right to it

(If im not mistaken)With a circular axle path(pivot above BB) the tangent force would be directed toward the ground creating anti-squat.

So why is a backward negative slope needed(i.e VPP design)?

I can answer both those questions  but what's the point ......been done several times before........simple answer or complicated.......even by DW........and it starts a hugh argument that turns into a ringing babble of incoherent e-pinions about e-therories from e-ngineering......bla bla bla :mumble: :mumble: :mumble: :mumble:

So who wants to go first.....

That's freakin' great, I gotta go listen to that...

Anyway there are so many threads on this that one of two things will happen, either you will start another long one ('cuz some of us can't get enough of this stuff, even if it hurts our small brains once zedro and DW start going at it) or everyone will chime in with "Do a search newb!" and the thread will soon die.

Try this out.....just go ride your bike (or maybe just get laid?). Stop worrying about what other people are doing. If you dont like VPP, don't buy it. Its F$*&#NG Simple.

And if you really want an answer, why don't you call Intense or Santa Cruz and find out? :dancing:

Yes, yes, I'm sure Santa Cruz and Intense will give you an intelligent, non-biased answer based strictly on the facts available, with no influence whatsoever by their respective marketing departments.

And simply because people like to discuss this stuff doesn't mean they don't like to ride their bikes, too.
