The race seems to have been a hit! 28 riders and most of them new to dual slalom, and GA residents as well.
A few NC boys in the house, and a couple guys repping FLA.
I "May" be interested in doin a winter series -
My ideas however would be slightlly different from how this race played out prize and money wise.
How about a 4 race series with the 2 middle races being points races with low registration costs
(like $10 to go in the bank for final payout) and no przes just points. Maybe some medals for podium and I would like to
have number plates that rep. current rankings from race to race.
So that would be the reward for the two middle (points races) races.
Then Late winter/early spring have a final which has 25% increase in points.
The first 3 races having equal points. Then best 3 races count.
That would give people "who missed out big time" on the race we just had to still get in the same points by the final.
It is a headache dealing with all the prize stuff. So I just don't want to deal with that at each race.
But, for the final have Super Duper Good prizes! If I work on it all along I think
I can get bike frames, wheels, cranks, bigger expensive prizes for the final
which say entry fees would be 25-30 dollars - Which (if the numbers were good at all races)
would probably raise about a 1000 dollar purse for the money class.
That may bring some pros off the couch!
What do you guys think??????
