if it's not a loose bolt in the fork, it's either your headset (loose, dirty, or dry), your stem (same), headset spacers (clean and grease them), your handlbar creaking in the stem clamp (clean, grease and tighten). Or, you have an ovalized headtube (not fixable).

Clicking/cracking in the front end comes from a HUGE range of things. To blame it on the fork is very short-sighted, you have to track it down by going thru a lot of things.

i have already cranked all the bolts tight on my handlebars and stem but nothing it is only like a month old so i don't think it could be an ovalized headtube.my shop worked on it right before it started happening so do you think maybe my shop didn't tighten something inside??? and if my headset is loose how would i tighten it????????

To check it, put on your front brake and rock your bike back and forth. Nothing should move around your headtube. You should be able to feel if it is loose, stuff will be moving VERY SLIGHTLY that shouldnt be moving. If it is loose, Loosen the bolts on your stem, and tighten the top cap bolt. then tighten the bolts on your stem and check it again. If it seems ok, pick up the front end of your bike and turn the wheel. if it feels tight, or crunchy, you tightened it too much and are crushing your bearings. loosen it up a little.

Cranking bolts down won't fix a creak or noise. Take it back to the shop and ask them to clean, re-grease, and tighten the headset. It will save you pain if a qualified wrench works on the headset, as you have to go by feel when tightening.

Here, this will be way more helpful than my sad attempt at describing how to adjust a headset linky

And by the way, tightening all the bolts as tight as possible is not the best plan. There are some bolts that shouldn't be too tight, like the bolts on your crown. They need to be snug, but if they are too tight, they can bend the stancions.

Cruise around the Park tool site, they have a LOT of good information and help

I'm with DBR on this .Could be any # of things .The fact that the shop just worked on your fork is most likely unrelated. Put in a new headset .I had the same situation with my shiver ,and it is very hard to pinpoint the noise . it did sound like the fork ,but was just a dry worn out headset. Good Luck

Whenever I had a marz that did this it was from a combination of things: loose crown/brace bolts, ungreased and stuck bolts, loose headset or one of the springs hitting the inside of the fork leg on compression. The last one happened all the time to older forks in my experience. It could explain some of the noise.
