Baggett Maintains Points Lead at Steel City National

<p>The 2012 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship hosted its penultimate round at the Steel City National this past Saturday in Delmont, Pa. Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki’s Blake Baggett maintains the 250 points lead after finishing fourth overall at Steel City. Teammate Broc Tickle was forced to fight for points after a tough first moto, and left Steel City fifth overall in 450 point standings.</p><p>

Baggett Holds on to the Red Plate</p><p>
Baggett kept it steady at Steel City by finishing 4-4 for fourth overall. He has held on to the 250 points lead for 10 consecutive rounds, and his performance at Steel City will enable him to proudly run the red plate at the 250 class championship-deciding round this Saturday at the Lake Elsinore National. He is currently leading the 250 class by 14 points and, with the 250 championship up for grabs this weekend, he will be more focused than ever on making the final race of the series a successful one.</p><p>

Tickle Fights Back</p><p>
Tickle suffered from an unfortunate first moto in the 450 class that left him unable to finish the race, but he returned with a vengeance in moto two with plans to collect as many valuable points as possible. He charged ahead and finished fifth in the moto, which put him 12th overall on the day. He is currently fifth overall in 450 point standings.</p><p>

The Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki team now heads back to its home state for the final round of the 2012 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship, which will be held this Saturday, September 8, at the Lake Elsinore National in Lake Elsinore, Calif. The 450 championship has already been decided, but the 250 championship will still be up for grabs, and Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki’s Blake Baggett will go to battle in order to bring home the coveted title.</p>
