The final round of the 2012 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship was held at the Lake Elsinore National this past Saturday in Lake Elsinore, Calif. While the 450 championship had already been decided, the 250 championship was still up for grabs and it was Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki’s Blake Baggett who would take home the championship in dramatic fashion. Baggett knew what he had to do to take home the title, and he kept his eyes on the prize as he went 1-2 to nail down both the overall win at Lake Elsinore and the 250 championship. Not only did he carry the 250 class red plate and points lead for 11 consecutive rounds, win the overall at Lake Elsinore, and take home his very first Lucas Oil Pro Motocross 250 class championship, but his overall win at Lake Elsinore would mark Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki’s 100th outdoor motocross win. Baggett and the rest of the Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki crew will now prepare for the upcoming 2012 Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations, which will be held September 29 and 30 in Lommel, Belgium.

Teammate Broc Tickle has had an impressive season and ended it on a high note by finishing 3-3 for third overall in the 450 class at Lake Elsinore. He completes his first 450 season fifth overall in 450 point standings.
