Wow. I'm not a political expert or anything, but this seems like a pretty strong statement. If high ranking officials can't be protected and we're losing more Iraqi police officers each day what chance is there of U.S. occupation ending anytime in the forseeable future?

I don't have much to say, but I thought it would be of interest to the folks here.

Well, we still have tens of thousands of troops in Korea some 50+ years after the war there was declared 'over'...

Did anyone see one particular SNL spoof of the election debate where the host asked Bush about his war plans?

"We're lulling the Iraqi rebels into a false sense of power and security."

"We're working hard, very hard.... nights and weekends too. We're working very hard..."

If another terrorist attack hits the US, the Iraqi people could really end up suffering in the end. As it is, we can barely maintain any sort of security or military presence. Imagine what will happen if we get hit: we'll have to deal with our security problems, the economy will slow way down, and we'll have no money or support to offer Iraq.

Theres about 150.000 US soldiers in Irak right now.
US military claims theres about 11.000 Iraki rebels fighting them.
Iraki gouverment claims there's about 200.000 irakis fighting them.
If I were the US Id be outta there a long time ago. I think this is NOT a good thing for your fellow Americans...
