Alight heres the problem, I love the look of the Scream, but I can get a Demo 9 for like 1/2 priceish (directly from specialized) opinions?

Definitly get the Demo 9. The main appeal of the Banshee is its sheer unbrakeableness and overbuilt nature- I'm sure you would have to put the D9 though the same, if not more abuse, to break it. The D9 has a better suspension system (low COG FSR four bar versus linkage actuated single pivot), and Specialized has a great warrenty (lifetime) as does Banshee (10 year). I would go with the Demo 9, especially considering how you can get it for half price.

call up banshee see what kinda deal they can give you. it might look like a better ofter then! but the demo 9 is also a very good bike. but the scream is indesturctable.
