I've been out of the game for a while, so I wanted to run a spec check past you guys before I pull the trigger.

    2017 Transition patrol, non-boost.
    • Sram Shifter GX Eagle Trigger 12 Speed Rear With Discrete Clamp
    • Sram Rear Derailleur Gx Eagle 12 Speed Black: Black 12 Speed
    • Sram Cassette GX Eagle XG-1275 10-50 12 Speed
    • Shimano SLX M7000 Single 11 Speed Chainset
    • Shimano XT MT800 Bottom Bracket
    • Sram PC GX 12 x chain
Basically, just mixing an 11 Spd Shimano cranks with the new fancy 12 speed stuff. Should be all good?

Now being serious, it'll work just fine. Don't worry about the different brand/speed count chainring.

    behind you, don't wait up.
What chainring do you intend to use?

I'd check the Shimano 11-speed ring with the Sram 12 speed chain and see how well they play together.

Thanks - I figured sram's rings would be thinner to accomodate for the 12spd, so maybe the thicker 11spd ring would make it sit a bit too snug?

Yes, That should work just fine. Worst case scenario you may need to swap the ring for a wolftooth or something but i doubt it
