Weight I suspect - Planet-X did a proto Ti DS frame two years ago. Nice and light, but was way to flexy!! I wouldn't say it was a noodle, but not appropriate for DS application - especially on courses with tight berms/corners.

Ti's advantages are with weight and flex memory. I would rather own a lightly built aluminum frame that I could replace cheaply rather than the Ti at 3x the cost. It's a nice looking frame.

Isn't ti like heavier than steel, the only thing is that it's so much stiffer that you can use a lot less so the final weight is lower?

if they'd built it properly and knew what they were doing with the material it wouldn't have been.......

wouldnt there be problems with bonding of BBs and headsets to the titanium? im not to sure how that works....
