The stopper in one of our tubs is broken, it's not springing open.

It looks pretty similar to one of these jobs, so hopefully I can just find the spring loader stopper and screw a new one in?

If not and I need to replace the whole drain thing, what's involved?

Yeah I did, its just a spring loaded thing that screws into the drain hole.

Yeah - definitely less chance than say with a shutoff valve or such.

I hate plumbing. But YouTube is your home maintenance friend. Start early enough so that you have time for multiple trips to the hardware store and the dispensary. No one gets it in one trip. May the force be with you.
