Dancin' over rocks n' roots!
So, any monkeys going to be there this year? We're going to have a booth (Team LUNA Chix) and be there on Saturday to cheer on the 1800+ racers that organizers are expecting. Sunday is the Pro Invitational and I may have to stay to see Floyd Landis tackle the 124 mile course (1/3 of which is on the dirt).

Check it out: America's Queen of the Classics

I will not be there, but it'll be interesting to see how Landis does..being a former mountain biker and all.

I'm racing Saturday and driving the car Sunday. We will place at least one rider in the winning break on Sunday... It's going to be sweet.

How did you fare?

Spinelli got within 10 seconds of Nydam and Lea's break on the first lap (up 3.5 minutes on the field), but ultimately, after his vest fell out of his pocket into his rear wheel on Stage Rd, he couldn't stick the bridge.

We lost a bunch of riders to flats on the first lap which made it pretty hard to be positioned at front where we needed them to counter-attack after Justin sat-up and came back to the field.

Even without a podium, i was super happy with the hardheaded big swinging bike riding our guys did yesterday. Only 2 of our 9 starters had ever even done a 200k race before (even if one of them has finished the Giro and raced all the classics)..

Yeah...it's a tough race to say the least. I was eyeing some Spooky bikes too...nice looking for sure.

No Floyd huh?

He showed up at a local road race down here in SoCal on saturday to torture us(I guess), and was supposed to hop on a plane to go out there. I read he opted to sit it out.
