I'm in the process of building up a new AM/trail bike, a RM Slayer SXC70. I have a new set of RaceFace Evolve XC cranks for it. I amd planning on setting it up with a 2x9 drive train with bash guard a BB mount blackspire stinger chain guide and a med cage x.9 derailer.

Any thoughts on this combo? Will the BB mount chain guide work? Will it affect my chain alignment? The frame does not have chain guide tabs and I do not believe the my RF BB is an E-type. Thanks.

I run a 1x9 set up on my Blur with a Race Face chain guide. I have had no problems with it at all, I am using the same cranks and BB as you.

It will work fine. The BB has a spacer that goes between the drive side cup and the frame. You just replace that spacer with the BB mount Blackspire guide as they should be the same thickness. The BB cup then just clamps the Stinger in place.
