why the hell do YOU care?!
My girlfriend's BB is on it's way to death (I think). Can feel a distinct "rubbing" when the cranks turn. Remove the crankset and turn the spindle alone, sure enough, can still feel it. So I'm figuring the bearings are finished, yes?

Is there an easy way to determine BB size for a frame? I don't have the little sizing tool. Is it printed/stamped on the BB anywhere?
I know the question's pretty basic to most of you...but that's what this forum's for, right? :D

it should have a sticker or some markings on it, but if not all you need to know is the width of the BB shell, it will be either 68mm or 73mm just use a ruler to measure it, and the width of the axle, quite a few sizes for the axle, again, measure it, but i'd guess at 110.5mm or 113mm on most bikes.

or you could just take the BB into a shep and let them measure it :)
